Business Analysis
Overview
A mid-sized Life Sciences research firm was looking to improve its product offerings by providing clients with industry standard best practices and tools for quality measurement systems. They were in need of a partner with industry expertise who could interface with key clients and internal stakeholders (analysts, data managers, directors and C-level leadership) to analyze and synthesize methods into a concise, yet comprehensive body of work that would enhance their current library of resources.
Target
Provide an all-inclusive analysis around quality measurement systems’ best practices and prepare formalized results through a guidance document and companion toolset prior to the client’s upcoming Members’ Summit.
Solution Delivery
eta one approached this challenge by addressing it in 4 phases:
Phase I: Analysis & Benchmarking
This effort was accomplished via a series of interviews and review of survey results. An in-depth benchmarking effort and data flow mapping initiative was undertaken to establish the current state of member practices as well as competitor practices. Academic research and third party thought leaders were interviewed and consulted to provide objective input. The end product was specifically enhanced in the areas of predictive and prescriptive statistics as well as optimization through this larger holistic analysis.
Phase II: Guidance & Tool Creation
Findings were reviewed and synthesized into an all-encompassing Guidance document. This effort was then followed by a Toolset creation phase which matched recommended practices with theoretical as well as practical tools.
Phase III: Review & Feedback Cycles
All feedback was reviewed and follow up analysis sessions were completed where needed. Through an iterative process, the project team used this phase to enhance and refine the original documentation and tools to better suit the end users.
Phase IV: Finalization
All material was delivered in advance of the scheduled Members Summit and incorporated into the client’s product library (both electronic and hardcopy formats).
Results
A fully reviewed and approved Quality Measurement Systems Guidance document as well as a toolset of 20+ companion tools were delivered and incorporated into our client’s products offering in advance of their Members’ Summit. Summit survey results indicated a greater than 90% satisfaction rating from customers who found the material to be “technical yet approachable”, “immediately useful” and “extremely comprehensive and practical”. Our client was able to actively promote this new product offering to the potential clients they invited during the Summit “Preview”. Due in part to eta one's efforts, new member enrollment immediately following the Summit rose 20%.
